Great Orthodontic Treatment: Oral Health Care from the Start!

Do you know the importance of sustaining healthy and balanced teeth and gums? Whether you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment or you’ve just finish your orthodontic treatment at HGS Ortho, taking care of your teeth is important for prolonged dental health and a beautiful, healthy smile.

Taking care of your teeth can be as simple as brushing two times a day at least, and also flossing after brushing. But did you know that you be brushing not just your adult teeth, but your baby teeth as well? If you’re past the age of baby teeth, and you know someone with baby teeth, remember to remind them to take care of their baby teeth, even if they think they’ll just lose them soon!

According to dental research,  issues with permanent teeth could happen as a result of a failure to brush the teeth from when they first emerge in children in the form of milk teeth.  It is commonly believed that there is little need to care for baby teeth as routinely as you would certainly with permanent teeth, but if we let our children practice the right hygienic dental care then they might prevent dental problems in the future. Healthy teeth are always better suited for orthodontic treatment.

When it comes to your child’s dental care, it is essential to review things completely with your family dentist as they will have the ability to offer advice, help and investigate the health of your child’s teeth. If you do not have a family dentist, you are welcome to give us a call and we can help recommend a dentist for you or your family.
